Paris Fashion Week: Stella McCartney A/W 2009-10

Easy, no-fuss, wearable pieces have been the core of Stella McCartney's success for some time. Presenting her ready-to-wear collection yesterday morning, the British designer offered beautiful tailored garments which once again lingered somewhere between masculine and feminine. Her star-studded FROW included Thandie Newton, Kanye West, Beth Ditto, newly hitched Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault, and her dad, Sir Paul McCartney.

My favourites once again have to be Stella's oversized 'boyfriend' blazers (oh, how she does a jacket well!), yeti coats, printed spray-on leggings, and lots of splashes of purple, or "moments of colour," as she described it. Flesh was also on display in panelled camisole evening dresses, sheer blouses and jumpsuits, and mini-skirts in barely-there fabric. It all ended on her father's hit song, 'The Long and Winding Road', ahhh....
