Fashion Fringe is back for 2009! The annual design initiative returns to Covent Garden, as a new hunt begins to find the next superstar of fashion. At the launch yesterday, honorary chairperson, Donatella Versace, joined a host of famous faces including Claudia Schiffer, Natalia Vodianova, Tamara Mellon and Roland Mouret, to officially kick off the event.

This year's Fashion Fringe introduces a brand new accessories category, which is being chaired by Jimmy Choo's Tamara Mellon. Five finalists will be chosen and the winner will receive a six-month apprenticeship at Jimmy Choo.

On the judging panel is Natalie Massenet, the CEO and founder of Net-a-porter.com; Joshua Schulman, the CEO of Jimmy Choo; Ann Pitcher, head of buying at Selfridges; and Roy Peach, the Dean of MA Fashion at the London College of Fashion.

The final four finalists will see their collections showcased at London Fashion Week in September, with the winner receiving a trophy and a substantial cash prize in excess of £100,000.
