Representing the "Shape issue" is Beyonce, who has been photographed by Mario Testino for the April '09 cover of American Vogue. It's the second time this year that Anna Wintour has chosen a black woman for the cover (Michelle Obama was the first for the March '09 issue). With the headline "Real women have curves, Beyonce at her best", it's great to see the 27-year-old land the cover, but might I casually remind Ms Wintour that real women come in all wonderful shapes, and not solely of the curvy variety.
