Adili launches own clothing line
Hippyshopper writes: Eco-chic fashion portal Adili has gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2006, featuring the hottest trends in ethical fashion and providing an effortless and enjoyable way for green fashionistas to shop. It was one of the first truly ethical shopping sites to branch into the mainstream, and seems to have a near-hypnotic hold over the fashion world at present.
So it comes as no great surprise to hear that Adili is to build on its reputation as a showcase for other brands with the launch of its own brand clothing range. In addition to a fashion-focused range of clothes for men and women, Adili own brand features nightwear, lingerie, accessories and towels. I've picked out a few of my favourite items from the range here; read on after the jump for details.
1. Green multi-stitch belted dress
I love this prim little shift dress, which is a lovely shade of green and made from 100% bamboo, which is the perfect fabric to keep you cool in summer. The fabric has a lovely, subtle sheen to it and I can see this being a very flattering wardrobe staple. £80
2. Silk butterfly girl boxer
Stylish and slinky, these luxurious silk shorties just look so comfy and well-made! They're made from hand screen printed fabric that has been environmentally friendly dyed using natural vegetable dyes instead of horrible chemicals. £28
3. Bamboo bath towels
Bamboo is the perfect material for making towels, and after I bought a set two years ago I'd never want to use cotton ones again. Why rely on a fabric that's really not good for the planet when bamboo will do the job so much better with its super-absorbent properties? And this set is awesome value at just £16.
4. Bow-front t-shirt
This cute little tee is the very height of chic for spring/summer and is made from organic cotton. Available in two colour schemes, it's £35
5. Milbourne Jeans
A great all-rounder, these classic-cut jeans are made from soft Peruvian cotton and dyed with earth-friendly dyes. Another well-priced item at £64
6. Leaf-print bag
You can never have too many totes, and this one will see you right through the spring and summer with its fresh nature print in neutral tones. Made from fairtrade organic cotton, it's £6.
