Last week I took a trip to Whistles HQ for a look at their Summer collection. It plays to the strengths of the brand, with lots of silk sheaths, beautiful fabrics and subtle details, but you'll also be glad to know it includes more 'entry level' pieces at slightly lower prices. Don't suddenly expect Primark-style pricing (that's not their aim!) but there are more tops in jersey and silk for under £50, and a younger feel to the entire range...

The yellow lithograph print dress (£135) was being worn by one of the team when I arrived, and I have to say it looks beautiful on and hangs perfectly. I see it teamed with dark tan accessories, and maybe a splash of royal blue. Speaking of royal blue, the slouchy jersey top (£45) would look great with anythin from jeans to a pencil skirt and is a bit different from your average tee. Finally, I'm loving the double-breasted shirt dress (£175). So very Stella McCartney and screaming to be worn with a straw fedora in the Summer!
