pixiegeldof_vogueitalia.jpgMove over Peaches, here comes Pixie Geldof - and with her very own Vogue cover to boot!

The young socialite has sent fashion forums into meltdown about her unexpected appearance on the February cover of Vogue Italia.

Photographed by Steven Meisel, the Select model also features inside the mag alongside Daisy Lowe in a 14-page editorial.

According to the Telegraph, Meisel was said to be so taken with the pair after shooting them for the Pringle campaign that he immediately booked them for Italian Vogue.

But tell this to the many appalled Vogue fans at The Fashion Spot who have expressed their outrage at putting Pixie on the cover.

"I don't want to see Pixie on the Vogue Italia cover. There's nothing Vogue about Pixie, no matter what country. How the heck is she relevant with what Vogue Italia produces? Even Daisy Lowe, who I am a fan of, doesn't belong in Vogue Italia. Put these girls in Nylon, Jalouse, or Teen Vogue. I rather the Russian clones than these girls." commented one forum member.
