Oscars 2009: Marisa Tomei in Versace Atelier

Opting for this season's favourite style - the one-shouldered dress - was Marisa Tomei. Designed by Versace Atelier the soft grey satin and organza gown worked a treat on The Wrestler actress, who admitted that the film "was a difficult movie to make." She matched her look with a pair of satin open-toed heels and bling from Van Cleef & Arpels.

This was my favorite dress of the evening. Could have wished for more color, and a few more faux pas to liven things up. Goldie Hawn was a terrific example of how trying to look younger shows just how old you are. She should settle for looking great at almost 60 instead of trying to look 30. What a contrast to Eva Marie Saint and Anjelica Houston. Oh yeah, Tilda Swinton looked cooler than EVERYONE.
