Oscars 2009: Freida Pinto in John Galliano

From Andrea at ShinyStyle...

Like her film Slumdog Millionaire, Freida Pinto is the true Cinderella story of the 2009 awards season. She has struck us every time with her beauty and intelligence, but unfortunately has yet to truly strike us with her fashion. Tonight we were glad to see her in something a little brighter and a shape inspired by her home country. But her blue John Galliano gown wasn't as youthful as we would have liked. She wore Jimmy Choo shoes, Judith Leiber bag and a Martin Katz ring featuring a 150-year-old vintage diamond from India.

I have observed Freida Pinto very minutely. She isnt just a body. There is this young lady with a very mature mind. Freida is a master at subtlety. Underplaying is really classy. Masters of Hollywood have observed this Cinderella of 2009 Oscars... She proved to be very elegant, and decent... she stood in the back-row... while indian actor Anil Kapoor was talking endlessly to the media. Freida never made ANY effort to go beyond herself and TALK (i.e. be seen on TV). She handled herself with great dignity. All this has not gone in vain. The masters have noted it. Plastic dolls (christmas trees) from india like Aishwarya Rai had been seen., but Freida Pinto is a person... an intelligent person... and she is most welcome to Hollywood. She will bring philosophical insight into the roles... and very big studios will hire her. Wait for the next 3 months... The masters have appreciated her dignity... Masters dont like Christmas Trees... okay. They have seen enough.
