London Fashion Week: Ossie Clark A/W 09

In the "real world", 9am is a pretty decent hour. But in the world of fashion, where PPQ parties take place the night before and go on into the wee hours, 9am isn't such a flash time to be plonking yourself down onto the benches in the main tent for a fashion show. That perhaps explains the prevalence of takeaway coffees, weary-looking people sitting front row and the late starting time at Ossie Clark this morning. But hang on, surely the models had an even earlier call time for hair and makeup and somehow *they* managed to look as fresh as a daisy. Oh, that's right. They're paid for that!

The relaunched Ossie Clark brand, designed now by Avsh Alom Gur , kept very much to the label's signature 60s and 70s aesthetic and sent out hippie-esque maxi dresses with ballooning bell sleeves and plunging necklines, billowing blouses with gorgeous Peter Pan collars and figure-hugging jumpsuits in pumpkin orange and abstract floral prints. Put it this way: Rachel Zoe would wear it all. I was especially taken with the orange dress (pictured in our gallery) but was equally excited to see the very lovely Jourdan Dunn - British Model of the Year remember? - strutting her stuff up the catwalk. Iso spied Kanye but a Jourdan sighting was good enough for me. (I'm secretly on Kanye-watch still though, don't you worry!)
