London Fashion Week: Topshop Unique A/W 2009

Looking much like those kids you see on the tube on a Saturday night on their way to a rave, models at the Topshop Unique show weaved ribbons in their braids and laced neon into their high-tops but managed to stop short of the glow sticks and whistles. Mixing this rave aesthetic with a bit of sci-fi and then throwing in some grunge too, meant this collection was full of shiny, space-y textures, UFO prints, grungy layering, oversize knits and fluro accents.

Loving the prevalence of grey and navy - after seeing so much black in New York, these colours feel so fresh and especially so when they're offset with some sequinned trackies or a caged neon skirt. (Click here to see a video of all the outfits during the finale.)
