Karl Lagerfeld not yet ready to make leap online
"An H&M dress and a Chanel dress can look the same in a small photo, but not in real life"
Karl Lagerfeld, explaining why he isn't keen to expand the Chanel empire online. The German-born designer has not yet reached the internet age, maybe the CQ team can give him a crash course? Lagerfeld added "I like the physical contact with the goods. There is something unexciting about buying something exciting online." Adding: "It's still too early to effectively sell luxury fashions online, because supreme quality, craftsmanship, tailoring and sophistication cannot be effectively conveyed."
