Just Cavalli scraps Milan Fashion Week show
Is Just Cavalli the latest fashion week casualty? Roberto Cavalli has reportedly cancelled the label's Milan Fashion Week show, which was scheduled for Thursday. According to WWD, the brand's licensee, Ittierre SpA, filed for bankruptcy protection earlier this month, leaving Cavalli to wait-and-see what happens with his secondary line.
"I have made this decision in order to protect the Just Cavalli image and its clients," he said. "The difficult Ittierre situation leaves me with no guarantee and no certainty that my young line will be as avant-garde as always."
Despite the cancellation of its show, Just Cavalli will produce and release its autumn/winter 2009-10 collection.
