Star style: Leighton Meester parties in Preen @ Nylon launch, Mexico

Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester donned a Preen dress to the Mexican launch of Nylon magazine last week. The black laced-up sheer dress, from the designers' spring '09 collection, has been a favourite amongst many stars this season. It is great to see British fashion making the spotlight, but was this a good choice for Leighton? Tell us your thoughts below.

I think she should have been wearing shoes like the model was wearing... only in black. Her hideous shoes really take away from the dress and her pretty face.
