Hilary Riva, chief executive of the British Fashion Council (pictured above, left) has been named a recipient of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the Queen's New Year's Honours list. Riva is recognised for her long dedication to bringing British fashion to the rest of the world and for being one of the founders of London Fashion Week. She joins ethical designer Anya Hindmarch, who will recieve an MBE, and David Jones, the chairman of Shop Direct Group and deputy chairman of JJB Sports, who has been awarded a knighthood.
