Giorgio Armani accuses Dolce & Gabbana of copying trouser design

A bitter feud of words appears to have broken out between Giorgio Armani and Dolce & Gabbana after Armani accused the design duo of plagiarising his work. At his Emporio Armani show in Milan, the veteran designer told reporters that Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce had copied a pair of quilted trousers that he sent down the catwalk last year.

"They copied some trousers from the last [Armani] collection," he told the Corriere della Sera newspaper, also providing photo evidence. "I would understand if they were nobodies. But honestly!"

Meanwhile, Dolce & Gabbana have denied the accusations by saying: "Surely we still have much to learn," they said. "But definitely not from him."

Yikes!
