garethpugh_mensweardebut_paris.jpgGareth Pugh has caught the eye of more than one or two bigwigs lately, at least that's what the Telegraph is reporting.

At the presentation of his debut menswear collection in Paris on Sunday evening (left), tongues began to wag when Delphine Arnault, daughter of Bernard Arnault, boss of LVMH, sat front row. Those in the fashion know, realise the importance of such a woman at a show, who is renowned for not staying out late.

"Beautiful, amazing," she said backstage of the Edward Scissorhands collection.

Meanwhile, the Telegraph also says that "someone very big wants to harness his talent, because it could be just the spark to reignite a moribund menswear market."

And Grazia is convinced that said bigwig is Dior Homme: "Pugh's about to be tapped up as a consultant at Dior Homme."

Hmm, should Kris van Assche be worried?
