First Look: Daisy Lowe for Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2009

daisylowe_marcbymj_ad.jpg

The first photo from the Daisy Lowe ad campaign for Marc by Marc Jacobs is now doing the rounds on the old internet (and is also highly likely to feature in a glossy mag near you) and so, of course, we had to have a nosy ourselves. Miss Lowe is putting her seductive Agent Provacateur modelling experience to good use in the snap, where she is clad in an ivory dress and heavy eyeliner while sprawled out on a bed decked in white linen.

Reviews have been mixed judging by the comments on The Fashion Spot forums, with some liking the minimalism of the Juergen Teller-shot campaign, and others disappointed the ads don't spark the same sense of fun as past ads featuring M.I.A (for M by MJ) and possibly most famously, Victoria Beckham for mainline Marc Jacobs. I'm firmly on the fence with this one for some reason - I can't seem to dredge up any feelings either way. But what do you think?

I like this ad, great to see a normal girl like Daisy Lowe showing all of us we could wear the clothes!
She is beautiful can't wait to see the rest of the campaign

too minimal for my liking- I actually really liked the Posh adverts they were verging on ridiculous but they did sell the product. This says nothing to me!!
