Asda hit the headlines with their £20 suit for women

In their latest credit-crunching move, Asda have followed their cheap party dresses with a women's trouser suit that comes in at less than £20. The 'City Suit' comprises a fully-lined single-breasted jacket for £11.74 and a matching pair of bootcut trousers for £7.83. While it's hardly high fashion, it is a smart move from the supermarket clothing brand, who've hit headlines before with a similar offer for men. Of course, the suit is mainly polyester and though it's cheap, it might not look so chic after a couple of washes and a battle with the iron.
