Just yesterday we were all in a tither about reports that Agyness Deyn could be in the running to play Doctor Who's new sidekick, then this slice of strangeness appeared in my morning newsfeed.
The Brit model has beaten 100 others to be voted the most annoying person of 2008 thanks to a television panel on BBC Three's celebrity review of the year. Yep, really. When I first read the headline, I had to do a double-take. Surely not, I thought. There are loads of other people I'd label most annoying before I'd even consider Agy. But apparently others don't share my opinion.

It seems that overexposure, together with her eclectic dress sense, are the main reasons why Agy has won the title. The 25-year-old was criticised for "being everywhere" in 2008.
"You can't get away from her," lamented TV presenter Michelle De Swarte.
Alas, this is true. The former chippy worker was seen all over the place last year. But with many major campaigns under her cap, e.g. Burberry, Jean Paul Gaultier, Giorgio Armani, I hardly think overexposure is a good enough excuse to beat out the likes of Peaches Geldof and Kerry Katona.
Meanwhile others including the mayor of Rossendale, Coun Christine Gill, have defended Agy: "Agyness is around the same age as my daughter and her brother came to a playgroup I ran. The whole family were really nice people. I wouldn't describe them as annoying at all." [via Sassybella]
