Psst... Helen Mirren designing for M&S - could this be on the cards?
So yesterday you'll recall me telling you about Helen Mirren's plea for sleeves to return to dresses? Well, now it appears that a clothing line by the Dame could very well be a future possibility.
The 63-year-old actress is so fed up with a lack of sleeved dresses in our stores that she recently hinted that she'd have to create her own range. "Dresses With Sleeves," is what she has said she would call her range.
This has pricked the ears of Sir Stuart Rose, who has told the Telegraph that he would consider her for a range with Marks & Spencer.
"She is a very stylish lady," he said. "I once sat next to her at lunch and I remember her even if she won't remember me. Her's is a very interesting concept and we're always interested in new ideas so let's see what happens."
I have my fingers crossed that this happens. It's time to stop forgetting the needs of the older woman. Heck, it's time to stop forgetting that we live in Los Angeles... The UK is cold people, we need our sleeves!
