As we mentioned, Chanel's pre-fall 2009 catwalk show, Paris-Moscow, took place this week proving that the dismal economy doesn't appear to be affecting everyone. Last year, Karl Lagerfeld brought Paris to London, and this year he brings Moscow to Paris, highlighted by his silent film presentation. He shied away from the subtle, with elements of Russian folklore tying the collection together, including elaborate headdresses, thick fluffy knits and sparkly gold boots.

"These dresses come out in six or seven months from now, and the world may have changed by then," said Lagerfeld, seemingly unfazed by the current financial climate.
