Courtney Love opens up in January '09 issue of Elle UK

Courtney Love has surprised many fashion followers by appearing on the January '09 issue of British Elle. In a revealing interview with the rock goddess, she opened up about gastric band surgery, drugs, and those rumours that she dated Russell Brand.

"Look, I swear that Russell Brand and me are just really good friends. I don't want to have sex with him. I actually have a very satisfactory sexual life, thank you very much," she said.

In the latest issue of Elle, Love is also candid about her views on gastric band surgery, admitting that she once considered it as a solution to help her lose weight.

"Baby, if I could get a gastric band I would!" she confessed. "I've heard it's a lot of vomiting and a pain in the ass, but it's still easier than a diet. I did go to see a Hollywood doctor about it. I wasn't desperate, I just knew I had to do something. He said no. I might have been fat, but I wasn't that fat. I tried lipo on my stomach after that. It was horrible and it didn't work."

Other revelations included Love confessing that she wore a $32 dress to the Grammys after pal Donatella Versace refused to lend her a dress. What do you think of her photo-shoot for the magazine? I think she looks fab.
