cacharel_scrapscatwalkshow.jpgOh dear... it appears as though things are a little rocky over at Cacharel right now. Firstly, their creative directors, Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto parted ways with the label after two years, in favour of an in-house design team. And now, the French fashion house has announced the cancellation of its catwalk show at Paris Fashion Week.

Industry insiders speculate that it is the result of a increasingly unstable economy, as others such as Donna Karan and Vera Wang reveal similar money-saving strategies for next season.

Meanwhile, menswear will also suffer from a lack of catwalk presence next year, after Marni and Valentino conceded to scrap their autumn/winter 2008-9 shows for other forms of presentation.
