UPDATE: Madonna for Louis Vuitton to be shot by Steven Meisel
UPDATE: So it seems that rumour, concerning Madonna as the next face of Louis Vuitton, might actually have some truth to it.
But instead of Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott photographing the spring '09 campaign, WWD reports that Steven Meisel has been given the job. If correct, this will mark Meisel's first time shooting for the fashion house, and will end Alas and Piggott's seven-year tenure at LV.
Meisel and Madonna have teamed up several times before, most recently on the May '08 cover of Vanity Fair's annual green issue.
A rep from LV is yet to confirm the report.
