Forget Count Von Lagerfeld, the true genius behind Chanel was, of course, Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel. This book looks into the Chanel archives to bring you glossy, gorgeous pictures of pieces from the label dating back as far as the 1920s, when the designer was instrumental in creating the new 'flapper' look for modern women (as well as, if the rumours are true, having accidentally makde the tan popular by falling asleep in the Sun).

If you have any interest in fashion history whatsoever, this is the perfect bit of indulgence, and it's got the added bonus of looking fab on your bookshelf / coffee table / desk.
