stephenjones_vaexhibition.jpgIt is quite literally hats off to master milliner Stephen Jones today after it was revealed that he will receive the Outstanding Achievement Award at this month's British Fashion Awards (BFAs).

"The Outstanding Achievement Award celebrates the exceptional talent of an individual who has contributed to the British fashion industry both internationally, and here in the UK throughout their career," said Hilary Riva.

Jones, who exhibits his first retrospective of hats next year at the V&A Museum, will be presented with the honour at the BFAs on the 25th November.

"He is a true original whose work is as relevant today as it was when he designed his first collection in 1979. Despite working regularly with the biggest names on the international catwalk he finds time to nurture and collaborate with emerging talent and creativity. I am thrilled that he will be the recipient of this year's Outstanding Achievement Award," added Riva.

As for the rest of the winners, we're only a week or so away from finding out who they are. CQ will have all the coverage from the BFAs - so make sure to keep us bookmarked.
