Kate Moss for Topshop causes a frenzy in Hong Kong

katemosstopshop_lanecrawfordhongkong.jpgIt looks like that plan to expand Kate Moss for Topshop China's way could be about to pay off. Vogue.com reports that the supermodel's high street label caused a frenzy in Hong Kong on Tuesday when it launched at luxury store Lane Crawford.

Topshop doesn't own a space in China yet, but as we mentioned in August, Sir Philip Green has been hoping to ink a deal at the Shanghai Superbrand Mall. Further spaces in Beijing and Hong Kong are also in the works.

Kate was nowhere to be seen in Hong Kong this week, except on billboards (pictured right) but that didn't stop fans from lining up to nab pieces from her Christmas 2008 collection.

The launch was a precursor to the big debut at Lane Crawford in Beijing on Saturday.
