The next pair of party dresses in my list of 100 are a pair of contrasting looks reduced in the pre-Christmas sales. The drape front purple silk number (£40 at Warehouse) is one of those 'business in the front, party in the back' numbers that has a cutout on the reverse and also some gathering around the bum to flatter curves. It's probably best avoided if you're big busted though, backless boat necks don't lend themselves well to bras!
Meanwhile, the ditsy print prom dress from Oli.co.uk has a bit of a Luella feel to it, and is a very affordable £12. But here's the rub...it's only £12 in sizes 8 and 10. If you're a 6, 12 or 14 you'll still be paying the full £40. Chuh!
