Viktor & Rolf S/S 2009. Modelled by Shalom, Shalom and, um, Shalom.
Never ones to stick to convention, Viktor and Rolf have chosen to showcase their Spring / Summer 2009 collection by video rather than staging a traditional catwalk show. The show - which is a subtle homage to my favourite fashion film, Funny Face - features Shalom Harlow modelling the entire collection of made-to-order crystal dresses, flame motif sheers and romantic layers. The model did five turns of the catwalk in each outfit to allow for multiple camera angles, and post-production means there are up to three Shaloms on screen at any one time in the finished video.
Clever tech aside, this is one of the most beautiful collections I've seen so far, and features plenty of beautiful, wearable pieces (look out for the red and white sheer batwing blouse and the black dresses). The shoes are awesome, too! [via WWD]
