It seems French-style is still playing on Lily Cole's mind as she arrived at Cambridge University's "swearing-in" ceremony over the weekend. Dressed in a beret and chic trenchcoat for the matriculation attended by 135 first-year students, Lily was worlds apart from her French Playboy cover, in which she is clad only in socks and pigtails.

Lily defended her decision to pose nude, saying: "Nudity has always existed in art, and I think that, given the right conditions, it doesn't necessarily 'debase' any more than it celebrates or represents the human body."

Maybe this nudity-in-art debate peaked her interest as, interestingly, the model has switched majors to now undertake a history of art degree after initially choosing to study social and political sciences.
