lfw_fundingcutnews.jpgWell after all the hullabaloo surrounding London Fashion Week's schedule, it has finally been sorted for next year.

Prior to the spring/summer '09 season, London was in peril of scaling back or losing its fashion week all together, after a scheduling conflict erupted amongst the fashion capitals. At one point, it looked as though LFW would be cut back to just three days, in order to accommodate New York, Milan, and Paris. But luckily last month, a 'peace agreement' was reached and LFW got to keep its full five days.

Now the schedule dates for next year have been announced, reaffirming that agreement. To find out the new dates, read on...

The next LFW autumn/winter 2009-10 season will be held from Friday, February 20th to Tuesday, February 24th.

There will be an overlapping day with New York. However, according to the Telegraph, this is not expected to harm LFW 'since many of the major American stores are represented by London-based buying agencies and the UK fashion editors who do cover fashion week in the Big Apple will be happy to fly the flag and get back home in time for LFW's opening day.'

The next LFW also marks its 25th anniversary - just another reason to celebrate our city's most creatively cherished week.
