Supermodels are being celebrated at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York this spring with a new exhibit, 'The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion'. And it seems that the Institute's annual gala benefit will also feature one major supermodel on its board of chair members.

Kate Moss has been invited to co-chair next year's glittery event, alongside Justin Timberlake, Anna Wintour and Marc Jacobs, who has been selected as honorary chair. Jacobs follows on from Giorgio Armani, who was honorary chair at this year's event.

"The idea of muses or models, whether it is someone you know or someone you have seen in an image, someone of your imagination or a creature of your own invention, is important to every designer and every collection," Jacobs told WWD.
