Kate Moss for Topshop - still selling out 18 months later!

katemoss_xmas08_01.jpgThe unstoppable force that is Kate Moss + Topshop is continuing to pull the shoppers... by the truckloads, that is. Yesterday, the supermodel's Christmas '08 collection hit stores, selling out in just 15 minutes.

Credit crunch? What credit crunch?

It is Moss's eighth range for the retailer, and it shows no sign of slowing down if yesterday's success is anything to go by. According to the Daily Mail, scores of young women flocked to Topshop's flagship store in Oxford Circus, queuing for more than an hour before it opened to get their hands on Moss's latest creations.

So popular was the collection, that assistants were forced to restock shelves just 15 minutes after opening the doors. The £100 panther claw dress, that Kate owns herself, sold out within hours, as did the £65 triangle rock dress.

"There was a queue outside this morning of about 200 people. Some of them got here at 7.45am," a store spokesperson said. "When we opened at 9am they all rushed down and were grabbing the items off the shelves. By 9.15am we had to restock the department floor."

I can see Sir Philip Green rubbing his paws with glee right about now.
