Hundreds queue for Patricia Field's M&S range - were you one of them?

As we already mentioned, yesterday marked the official launch of Patricia Field's new collection for Marks & Spencer. Despite receiving a lukewarm reception from the media (the Daily Mail called it 'cheap, tacky and utterly misconceived' - ouch!) hundreds of shoppers still managed to queue up to get their hands on the Sex and the City stylist's range.

The 60-piece collection has been on sale via the M&S website since midnight Tuesday night, with several items already sold out.

"It's about appealing to all the different women that shop at M&S," said M&S head of womenswear, Kate Bostock. "Patricia''s ideas go beyond fashion in some ways - it's about great iconic pieces that women will love having in their wardrobes and which they can wear over and over again".

We want to know, have you been down to M&S to check out the range yet? What did you think? Did you buy any of the pieces? Tell us by leaving your comments below.

the clothes are not that bad - but the model at the back on the right looks seriously ill - she looks painfully too thin - ouch!

I bought the sequin tux jacket but to be honest I'm in two minds about keeping it. It's a nice piece but I am expecting to see imitations in other high street shops soon and for the price (particularly here in Ireland where it is marked up another £15 approx over the sterling-euro conversion rate) the quality is disappointing. I'd be surprised if Topshop don't have something similar, and cheaper, in the pipeline

Daily mail got it spot on. Collection is disappointing and uninspiring. Was i mistaken in thinking this range was exclusive to M&S. A virtually identical collection by Patricia has been available on Americas Home Shopping Network for a few weeks now.
