Gucci embroiled in a real-life spy scandal
Oh the delicious drama of it all... The Gucci Group has been caught up in a real-life spy scandal, WWD reports.
The label is the latest to be dragged into into Italy's ongoing "spy stories", which stem from an investigation of illicit access to the Ministry of Interior's data bank. Gucci's offices in Milan, Florence, and Rome were searched this week in connection to the scam which saw phones belonging to politicians, bankers, entrepreneurs, journalists and celebrities being wiretapped.
Even former head of womenswear at Gucci, Alessandra Facchinetti (pictured), has been revealed as a target, adding to her long-list of woes. Gucci's former head of security, Carlo Del Bo, is one of seven who have been arrested so far in relation to the investigation.
