Designer Spotlight: Nümph

numph.jpg

There's a gaping hole in my knowledge of fashion when it comes to streetwear fashion stores like USC and Bank. But I know them well enough to know that Nümph is the kind of brand that would sit quite nicely alongside the likes of Firetrap, Bench and Miss Sixty in one of those stores. However, the cute Danish label would probably just as easily work in a boho boutique full of Darimeya, Orion and Mina. The brainchild of seven women working in the creative industries who came together to create an independent label away from the restrictions of big companies, it's a mish-mash of prints, unstructured knits, graphic designs and girlier pieces with creative cuts, details and trims...

The brand is now quite prevalent online in the UK, with plenty of stockists out there (just try googling 'numph' for a few of them). Divine Trash seems to have the biggest selection at the moment, including the clever 'menswear boob tube' (£30) with ties that resemble the sleeves of a man's shirt.
