Black and white check picks: Topshop, Ashish and Marc Jacobs

Checks are all over the high street, but you don't have to go for tartan. A monochrome check looks chic and from grunger flannel to luxe houndstooth there's something for everyone.
Tabio's check tights are a great way of adding some subtle pattern to your outfit and Topshop's chiffon skirt has a similar diamond pattern. Houndstooth gets updated by Ashish and Marc Jacobs takes the luxury approach for his purse. Finally a pair of simple flats from New Look will add some '90s chic to jeans.
