Bid on a bit of fashion history with Christie's 'Resurrection' auction
Nope, this is not my Christmas wishlist. It's a tiny sampling of the crazy fashion that's going under the hammer at Christie's tomorrow as part of the amazing 'Resurrection: Avant Garde Fashion' auction. From Rudi Gernreich's 'monokini' topless swimsuit from 1964 to 90s bondage from Gianni Versace, the most crazy and outlandish looks from the last fifty or so years of fashion are well documented with 250 pieces from most famous fashion faces making an appearance. Cardin, Courreges, Gaultier and Kamali all feature highly, alongside Ossie Clark, Vivienne Westwood, Alaia and many more. There are even pieces from Marc Jacobs' infamous 'grunge' collection. Click here for more info, or register to bid if you have upwards of £300 to spare on a bit of style history.
