All Katie Grand needs is Love
I guess the rumours from earlier this week were right. Condé Nast has confirmed that the title of their forthcoming fashion magazine, headed up by Katie Grand, will be called Love.
"We came up with the name together," Condé Nast managing director Nicholas Coleridge told the Guardian this week. "It's just a great name. It's a very positive name denoting a love of fashion and a love of style," he added.
Other things that we now know about the mag is that it will be priced at £5, and will be launched at the very end of February. Love will be a bespoke size "slightly larger than most monthlies", and promises to be "edgy and experimental".
According to Coleridge the response from the all-important advertisers so far has been "very positive".
Meanwhile, we have picked up on a second rumour - that i-D's fashion editor Francesca Burns, has also been poached for the magazine. Whispers are circulating that she will become Love's Senior Fashion Editor At Large.
It just gets curiouser and curiouser, doesn't it?
