Yay or Nay: Double layered dresses

lampshadedress.jpgMore and more of these double-layered dresses and skirts are slowly appearing on the high street, which leads me to believe they're taking off in a big way.

That said, I've yet to see anyone out and about wearing one, which either says something about the circles I move in (and the amount of time I spend at home in front of the telly) or something about the women of London and their taste in clothing.

The most recent double-skirted dress I've spotted is this red number with a black underskirt and belt from River Island. It's yours for £49.99 and you know what the next question is...

Yay or Nay? Would you give it a go or is this a trend too far for you?

Hmmmm! I've not seen anyone wear these either, yet. Sometimes I suspect that High Street buyers focus too much on copying the catwalks (I think I remember seeing quite a few of these double-layered skirts in Fashion Week pics last season?) than on the actual tastes of their real-life customers...

I personally love this look and love this dress - its a lot better than a lot of River Island clothes!!

Nay- at the moment anyway. In 3 months time I will probably have a bizarre turnaround as I always do with trendy things like these
