One of our favourite fashion editors, Suzy Menkes, celebrated 20 years at the International Herald Tribune on Saturday.
At Paris's Musée Galliera, a who's who of the industry turned out to pay tribute to Menkes, including Donatella Versace, Alber Elbaz, John Paul Gaultier, and Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
Video messages from those who couldn't make it, included Marc Jacobs, Karl Lagerfeld, and Anna Wintour.
"She is like a mother," said Dries Van Noten. "Whatever she writes, there are always lessons learned, even when it is critical. And what is great is there is always a next time for her and for us."
"I'm not Valentino and I'm not retiring," declared Menkes.
