In one final message to her former boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri, who is currently in prison under investigation for fraud, Anne Hathaway blew everyone away last night at the premiere of Rachel Getting Married at the Venice Film Festival. The actress upped the anti in this stunning soft purple/grey strapless ball gown, which featured an exquisite ruffled hemline and train by Atelier Versace. With her hair elegantly slicked back, and simple accessories to match, you know that we're impressed, when we show you an outfit from all angles! It's two massive thumbs up from me.

Whilst the dress is undeniably gorgeous, it just looks like the dress is wearing her? She looks uncomfortable so that ruins the look for me.

I agree with Fab Sugar. She looks like she wouldn't be able to walk very well

I love the dress too and I think she looks pretty in it. I do wish that it had been a darker color. He skin is so lovely and fair. I think this light color, while beautiful, kind of washes her out.

not something i'd usually say about cheshire cat grinning anne . . .but i really like this

you can quite easily condemn her for wearing the most boring and homogenous load of tripe on the red carpet, stretching the boundaries of fashion no further than the tails on kate moss' jacket . . .so good on her really

(looks better from the back)

I love this look on Anne. It's so unexpected, from the actual design of the dress to the color. I saw the back first and I thought oh that's great then I saw the front and I said WOW! Your headline took the words out of my mouth. Now that's a dress!
