Luella's spring 2009 offering was one of those collections that was a complete turnaround from the designer's fall look. The Luella girl went from dark gothic to pretty confection quick enough to give you whiplash - which, coincidentally, many passersby may suffer if women on the street attempt these head-to-toe looks.

The color palette I love, but like too much candy it can boarder on nauseating when consumed all at once. However, the monochromatic outfits on the catwalk will look charming when broken down and pieced together with less statement-making pieces. It works because Luella's aesthetic is so specific.
