Giles Deacon London Fashion Week S/S 09

In a 'remove the outlandish styling and it all looks quite normal' move which reminded me of Dior's last collection Giles Deacon chose to present a headline-grabbing pacman themed show on the catwalks at London Fashion Week. Take away the massive headpieces and the actual clothes were very grown-up and wearable. Tailored pencil skirts overlaid with sheer plastic were teamed with fine knits, and fitted shifts appeared in a variety or collar styles and lengths.
The '60s silhouettes brought to mind Samantha from Bewitched's wardrobe and were updated with 80s-inspired graphic prints, a day-glo camo brocade being the most notable of the selection.
