Will Katie Holmes upstage Victoria Beckham at New York Fashion Week?
The friendship between Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes is said to be under strain after it was revealed that Holmes might upstage Beckham at New York Fashion Week.
According to the Daily Mail, Katie's new fashion line, Holmes-Yang collection, will kick off New York Fashion Week, while the catwalk show for Victoria's new dress collection, VDB, has been cancelled in favour of a private viewing.
"The timing is unfortunate," a source told the paper.
"Officially, Victoria's people say no runway show was planned and this has nothing to do with Katie launching her line but the truth is Victoria doesn't want the inevitable comparisons," they added.
Hmm... Considering no official announcement has been made regarding a Holmes-Yang debut at NY Fashion Week, I'm not quite convinced. Nevertheless, the actress did wear one of her own designs at the recent première of Tropic Thunder, so who knows? I guess anything is possible.
