vicbeckham+upscaledresscollection.jpgUPDATE: Despite waxing lyrical about her desires to launch a collection of dresses at next month's New York Fashion Week, there will be no such showing for Victoria Beckham at Bryant Park, according to FWD. Sources have revealed that while Posh's frocks won't be making their catwalk debut just yet, next February's fashion week has yet to be ruled out. Stay tuned, I guess.

Designer duds from Victoria Beckham could be heading for New York Fashion Week. The Spice Girl revealed her plans to unveil a collection of upscale dresses in time for September's show season.

"It will be something completely different from what I've ever done," she told WWD.

"I'm just putting it together at the moment, but they will be very upscale dresses and likely will start at around US$1,200 retail. I'm going to be using very expensive fabrics and finishes, lots of embroideries," she added.

But Beckham stopped short at the notion of designing a range of tracksuits.

"I won't do sportswear - I only like to do things that are true to myself, and things I would wear myself."

Fair enough. I think a line of dresses would far better suit Posh's personal taste, as oppose to her denim range any day. But more importantly, at such high prices, will they sell any better?
