Karl Lagerfeld gives us his best rapper impression for Harper's Bazaar
For the September issue of American Harper's Bazaar, some of our top designers were asked to live out their fantasies in a special editorial shoot.
Designers including Giorgio Armani, Alber Elbaz, and Roberto Cavalli stepped into the roles of their silver screen icons. For example, Armani adopted the fancy footwork of Fred Astaire, while Cavalli, ever the ladies man, morphed into Rhett Butler from Gone With The Wind, clutching Coco Rocha as his very own Scarlett O'Hara.
So who did Karl Lagerfeld wish to copy? Find out after the jump...
A rapper (yes, really). The French designer donned a pair of Phat Farm baggy jeans, and statement T-shirt to emulate his favourite rap artists.
"Believe it or not, I love rap," he told the magazine.
You're right Karl... we don't believe it. Bring back the bow-tie and gloves - you're freaking us out!
P.S. We hear that Count Karl is currently in the South of France busy illustrating a fashion story for British Vogue... keep your eyes peeled for that one.
