Designer Spotlight: Neurotica

You can spot new talent just about anywhere, and I stumbled across textile specialist Victoria McGrane - creator of Neurotica - while watching BBC2's Dragon's Den. The young designer (who already sells to boutiques across the globe, including the fabulous Beyond The Valley and Shop 172 in London) secured funding from Dragon Peter Jones, which will allow her to expand the business and work on a diffusion line that will be on sale in a certain high street store with an Oxford Street flagship...

Neurotica is a print-driven line, with hand screen-printed textiles and inky-looking patterns derived from nature. The shapes are clean, modern and flattering, reminding me of the recent Uniqlo / United Bamboo collaboration. The pictures you see above are from Neurotica White Label 'Cloudbusting' collection, the first run of the diffusion line which sells in Topshop Oxford Circus and online (limited pieces only).
