ASOS wants to become the Amazon of fashion
Things just seem to be getting better and better for ASOS right now. Reporting a 95 per cent rise in first-quarter sales in June, ASOS boss, Nick Robertson has up the anti by claiming that the e-tailer was aiming to become the Amazon of fashion.
"Everyone's online bit of their retail mix is growing like stink," he told Reuters. "I genuinely believe we're at the tip of the iceberg on this."
Adding to their growing empire, ASOS is also planning a marketplace for secondhand clothing, and a more customised approach to their pages and emails for customers. Sites for foreign markets are also on the cards.
