Vivienne Westwood reveals what she really thinks of Sex and the City
Despite reports to the contrary, Vivienne Westwood was delighted to be involved in Sex and the City: The Movie, she has told Vogue.com.
The designer has denied allegations that she found the film dull, after recent internet rumours claimed that she couldn't sit through the screening of the film.
She was even quoted as saying: "I thought Sex and the City was supposed to be about cutting-edge fashion and there was nothing remotely memorable or interesting about what I saw. I went to the premiere and left after ten minutes."
Westwood, who worked with the SATC crew on both the film and television series, has expressed her sadness concerning the allegations, stating that she has enjoyed a great working relationship with the team.
"I stayed throughout the film, and was overjoyed to see Sarah Jessica in her beautiful wedding dress; furthermore, I have been delighted to notice recently how well young girls are dressing, and that they have clearly been inspired by the film," she said.
It makes sense. After all, why else would she have personally signed the note left for Carrie in the flick? And showcased the wedding dress in her Conduit Street store?
